Photography Series Call Out!
I have finally got around to booking a space in Manchester to make my first ever photo series (which has been an idea of mine for about a year) and I am looking for some people to photograph! I am looking for a wide range of people and you don’t need to have any experience in front of a camera. You just need to be available for 20 minutes on 24th October 2019, agree for me to use the images in a public capacity and be happy for me to publish a short interview with you. Unfortunately I can’t pay anyone but I can provide you biscuits and a final copy of the image!

“It is very funny, surprisingly informative and features a pair of sparkling performances” – British Theatre Guide (Men Chase Women Choose, 2019)
“A very funny, very clever show, executed by two very talented and versatile performers” – Number 9 (Men Chase Women Choose, 2019)
“Her character is an intelligent “STEMINIST“, but also has an abundance of dry wit and humour. The pair compliment each other perfectly, and display a fantastic rapport, forging an irrepressible partnership that is a complete joy to watch. It is clear that they are having a blast, and this energy feeds through to the audience. With superb comic timing, they both demonstrate exceptional versatility as actors, delivering comedy through rap, poetry, physical performance, and sketches.” – The Plays The Thing (Men Chase Women Choose, 2019)
“The supporting cast is equally strong, particularly…Sophie Giddens’ Peter, who provide(s) most of the comedy” – Frankly, My Dear UK (Romeo and Juliet 2018)
“John Tueart and Sophie Giddens provide two of the most powerful and gripping performances that I have seen. The emotion and passion with which they deliver their characters are nothing short of sensational” – Number 9 (The Egoist 2018)
“We couldn’t be happier with the photos, the whole experience was so relaxed, fun, and organic – and we love the final edits” – Fine Comb Theatre
“My experience with Sophie was wonderful. She instantly made me feel relaxed and comfortable and made the whole shoot a lot of fun. She’s a real pro and knows the best way to capture your casting. I’m so happy with the shots I got too, she helped me highlight ones where I looked my real self, I want to buy extras!” – Leah Gray – Scaife
I went to see Sophie for new headshots in February, and I still get compliments on them!
I could not recommend Sophie enough. The shoot was so relaxed, and she really took the time to capture the exact style and feel that I wanted, whilst always offering helpful tips and making the experience super enjoyable!
The photos are of the highest quality and all so different. The system of choosing your favourite photos is very easy and straight forward also.
In all, I would definitely visit Sophie again, as I know I will receive the highest quality photos and have a great time on the shoot!
When I first saw Sophie’s photography I immediately pinholed her for my next professional shoot. I knew that she would help me feel at ease and understand my values as a performer and educator and seek to capture that the best way she could. Working with Sophie was relaxed, enjoyable and like spending time with a friend. Furthermore, her turnaround time from initial communication to delivery was exceptional. She is versatile, talented and so very lovely to be with. – Jenn Clempner
